Despite having one of the largest gas networks in Asia, there are still many areas in Pakistan where gas is not readily available in regular pipe line. For such areas, a Mother-daughter stations or Mobile station on trailer can be realized. Quite a few success examples of such technology are present in India where a large number of Mother-daughter stations are fulfilling the growing demand of CNG.

 

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Modular storage units are filled with compressed gas from a typical CNG station connected with pipeline (called Mother Station). These storage units are then transported to the daughter station on an appropriate transportation vehicle.

A hydraulic compressor connected to a dispenser is used for refuelling of vehicles using the modular storage units. Subsequently, these units are replaced with units full of natural gas at 200 bars. There maybe a number of daughter stations that can be attached to a single mother station.

The same concept can be realized to develop Mobile CNG station with onboard hydraulic compressor and ESV type dispenser. This Mobile station can use the CNG stored on it as its own fuel, thus reducing cost and maintenance.
