Storage System and Panels PDF Print E-mail
The storage cascade is used to store gas at a pressure higher than the vehicle storage pressure. This differential pressure is used to transfer the gas from the cascade into the vehicle. The construction of safe Storage Cascade is carried out according to European standard (BS EN 1964-1) using high-tensile seamless steel cylinders approved by HDIP.

The complete Storage System comes with Sequential Priority System with either TWO LINES with Medium and High pressure or THREE LINES system with Low, Medium and High pressure storage banks. The Storage Safety Panel mounted on the Storage Skid ensures maximum safety featuring safety valves and ½” regulators on each bank, pressure gauges, stop cocks and discharge valves.
With safe Storage System:

    * Minimize the storage filling time during continuous operation
    * Attain Fast refuelling also during peak hours
    * Reduce number of compressor starts and stops
    * Usage of storage volume is about 60% of the global volume instead of 20%

GAS CONTROL PANELS
All gas control panels are designed and manufactured in-house, and are fully engineered to the appropriate gas codes. safe - CNG TECHNOLOGY uses only the highest quality fittings and materials on all of our high-pressure gas panels.

Priority Panel

The priority panel directs the gas flow from the compressor to the High bank, Medium bank or Low bank of the storage cascade, depending on demand. If the storage pressure is low, the discharge gas is sent directly to the vehicle to provide faster fuelling. A priority panel is necessary for fast-fill CNG systems.

Emergency Shutdown (ESD) Panels

In a power failure, or by manually activating the supplied emergency shutdown (ESD) push button, fail-safe pneumatically-actuated ball valves will close and isolate the gas within the storage cascade. In addition, electrical power to the natural gas fuel system will be isolated, locking out all equipment and displaying a visible alarm signal. This is a recommended safety feature for all systems that utilize high-pressure storage.
