Lubricated compressors require complex filtration systems to remove harmful oil carryover and tend to increase maintenance costs for CNG powered vehicles. safe compressors offer a better alternative by using state-of-the-art Teflon® rod packing and piston rings that require no lubrication yet offer long service life. Reliability testing has shown piston ring, packing ring and valve life in safe compressors to be substantially greater than other non-lubricated compressor designs. safe - CNG TECHNOLOGY provides adequate flexibility in cooling systems allowing our compressors to operate efficiently in a variety of climates and temperatures ranging from -40°C (-40°F) to +60°C140°F), keeping discharge gas at only 10°C (18°F) above ambient temperature. The cooling of the gas is achieved by means of water through a closed circuit, running by one electric pump that feeds the gas-water heat exchangers that are mounted on the compressor itself. The same water of the closed circuit also cools the lubricating oil.
This effective and efficient cooling method increases the compressors’ potential flow capacity and reduces vehicle-filling times. |
